Windsor- Rickaby
Rickaby- Home Renovation- A piece of history, reimagined for today.

Project Overview
Originally built in 1955 by renowned modernist architect Russell Jack- founding partner of Allen, Jack + Cottier — Rickaby is a rare jewel of mid-century design, tucked away in Sydney’s leafy northwest, Windsor.
As the proud Interior and Exterior Designer, I poured my heart and soul into bringing this remarkable home back to life. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to honour its mid-century essence while reworking it for the way we live today.
From handcrafted finishes and materials sourced around the world to impeccable artworks curated into the design from the very beginning, nothing was overlooked. Clean lines, timeless simplicity and sweeping views of the Blue Mountains now flow effortlessly through spaces that stay true to the home’s original vision, yet feel fresh and contemporary.
This revival includes a state-of-the-art C-Bus smart system throughout, ensuring modern comfort and control at every touchpoint. Luxurious features like a private cinema room, ensuites with a refined hotel vibe- complete with spacious walk-in robes and discreet hidden toilets- a kids’ rumpus room, a man cave and expansive outdoor living and entertaining areas bring new life to this iconic design. Engineered flooring, venetian plaster, graceful archways and layered lighting create an effortless sense of flow inside and out.
This isn’t just a renovation- it’s a respectful revival. An old soul reimagined to be lived in, loved and admired for generations to come.
